Why you should trust a guy who can’t spell his own name right

Here’s where I’m supposed to tell you my values, my mission, vision and fission.

I won’t.

I’m just gonna tell you that I write copy that makes people pay attention and take their credit card out.

Yeah, I know, not very mystical, but way more useful (and honest) than telling you “I’m so happy you’re here!”

Let me tell you something that it might sound like an issue, but it’s actually a blessing.

My name is Nicolas (yes, without the “h” in the middle), I’m Argentinian and English is not my first language.

You may be thinking “how come this guy dares to write copy in a language that he doesn’t master?

If this is a problem for you, fair enough, you can stop reading here.

If not, stick with me…

Look, I lived in the UK for a bit and I always laughed at how some place’s names looked like someone threw the alphabet into a blender and came up with names:

Worcestershire.

Gloucestershire.

Loughborough.

But then, when pronounced, it was like two or three letters.

Wuss-ter-sher.

Gloss-ter-sher.

Luff-bro.

Something similar happens on websites with bad copy.

Too many unnecessary words, too much fluff.

A holistic solution for this endeavor…

An innovative wellness paradigm…

The heck…

Luckily for me, I don’t have this huge database of fancy Shakespearean English words in my brain.

So, I write it simple.

Clear.

To the point.

Language that doesn’t do rhythmic gymnastics and a 12-year-old would understand

So to wrap it up…

What do I do?

I write copy for online businesses.

Why is copywriting important?

Good copy, properly done, with enough research, strategically allocated (whether it’s on a website, emails or ads) literally changes the life of any business.

And how do you know if you need a copywriter?

Well, if you aren’t selling what you thought you would… start by auditing your website and look if you’re making these two terrible mistakes.

It’s free.
